What is Sgela Saam?

Sgela Saam is a social, interactive e-learning platform which allows learners to collaborate and share learning material and problem-solving skills. The platform serves as a supplement to formal FET studies, and it is facilitated and supported by tutors.

The application provides value in 3 different ways, viz:

  • Peer-to-peer teaching and learning
    • Sgela Saam allows for peer-to-peer interaction where learners collaborate, teach, and learn from each other. It also provides an opportunity to create networks with peers from other schools in different places around the country.
  • Learning Content and Quizzes
    • We support the learners by uploading and availing the relevant content such as past assessments, tutorial videos, amongst other material.
    • Learners may also take quizzes created by tutors to stay current and up to date.
  • Facilitation and Tutoring Services
    • Our registered tutors facilitate and monitor interaction on the app. They can approve learner posts to make them more credible.
    • They also hold live group sessions and one-on-one sessions as per bookings.

The application has a wide range of features and functionalities to help create a community and enhance academic results.
